Snowdroppers @ Club 77
Welcome to Night Noises’ first post. Without further ado onto the music….

I had seen The Snowdroppers perform before at the Newtown Festival, but this was the first time I’d seen them at one of their own shows. Suffice it to say they did not disappoint bringing, if it is possible, even more energy to the set than they had on that previous encounter.
The only thing standing in their way was the PA which was clearly not up to the job of transferring Johnny’s vocals, which got lost in the mix. Nevertheless the crowd ate up their sound and were moved by the power of music into the realms of dance which is something we love here at Night Noises.
Highlight of the night for me was their version of the classic “Cocaine Blues” which was played at what can only be described as breakneck speed. Lowlight, still has to be the blinding strobe which nearly causes me to have a seizure every time I ty to enter the gents toilets at Club 77, seriously guys, it’s not cool…
If you are in the mood for some high energy blue revival music in the vein of The Old Crow Medicine Show you could do a lot worse than checking out the Snowdroppers, highly reccomended.
